Author Instructions


i) Word Processing Formats

Only the following word processor file formats are acceptable for the manuscript document:

  • Microsoft word 2000/2003 (doc)
  • Microsoft word 2007/2010 (docx)
ii) Manuscript Preparation

Manuscript length should be 6 to 12 pages in journal format. The word limit of the article is expected to be within 5000 to 8000 words in English only. EBAUB journal can exceptionally accept shorter or longer manuscripts, provided that the scientific content is of high value. All submitted manuscripts must include the following items:

  • Cover letter
  • Title page
  • List of authors and their affiliations
  • Abstract
  • Key words
  • Introduction
  • Main Body
  • Conclusion
  • Acknowledgments (if any)
  • References

Cover letter: Corresponding authors have to write a letter to the chief editor with highlighting the significance of the article.

Title Page: Title page should contain concise and informative title; provide the full names and affiliations of all the authors. Affiliations should include department, university or organization, city, and country. One of the authors should be the corresponding author. Email address of the corresponding author should be included. Category should be noted.

Abstract: The abstract should briefly introduce the manuscript, not exceeding 300 words.

Keywords: At least 5 keywords or phrases should be included.

Introduction: State the reason for the investigation, note any relevant background, and delineate the objective of the investigation. Justification for the study must be clearly explained.

  • Main Body: The main body part should include the main proposed ideas, materials and methods/ methodology, results and discussions.

    • Materials and Methods/ Methodology: Provide sufficient information for better understanding of the methods used. New methods should be included in detail, but methods for which adequate references can be cited, are not to be described.

    • Results: Use tables and figures to present data. Repetition between the text of this section and the data presented in tables and figures should be avoided. Statistical analysis should be stated where appropriate.

      • Figures: The aim of the figure legend should be to describe the key messages of the figure, but the figure should also be discussed in the text. Each legend should have a concise title of no more than 15 words. The legend itself should be succinct, while still explaining all symbols and abbreviations. A resolution of figure at least 300 dpi should be used and preferably plate files should be saved in tiff or jpg format. For graph or line figures a higher resolution (at least 1000 dpi) should be used. Maximum size of figure plate should be wide : length (1 : 1.2) for double column and wide : length (1 : 2.3) for single column.

      • Tables: The table title should be concise and footnotes should be placed below the table. Footnotes can be used to explain abbreviations. Tables must be cell-based, such as would be produced in a page by Microsoft Word. Do not provide tables as graphic objects or excel document. Do not include color, shading, lines, rules, text boxes, tabs, returns, or pictures within the table.

    • Discussion: State significance of the results to the existing knowledge and importance of this study. Results and discussion may be presented in a combined form or in a separate section based on the nature of research.

  • Conclusion: Summarize the findings and provide recommendations.

  • Acknowledgements (if any): This section includes acknowledgment of people, grant details, funds, etc.

  • References: Use APA style for referencing. In the text, use author`s last name, year (White, 1934) at the end and White (1934) or White et al. (1952) at the first of line; two authors (Murashige & Skoog,1962) and three or more authors (Reinert et al., 1965). In case of two or more references, it should be separated them by semicolon (Reinert et al., 1965; Murashige & Skoog,1962; White, 1934) and arrange them chronologically recent to past year.
    List all the references at the end of the text alphabetically beginning with the author`s last name and followed by the year, the title of the article, name of the journal (both full form and abbreviate form are acceptable), volume number and page number(s). Use commas between the authors’ name and ampersand (&) before the last author's name. In case of books, the names of publishers and address of publisher should be given. Samples are presented below:

      Standalone URLs, i.e. without an author or date, should be included either within parentheses within the main text or preferably placed as a note (Roman numeral within square brackets within text followed by the full URL address at the end of the paper).

A declaration of authenticity including name(s), department or institute & signature must be submitted along with the manuscript.
