Biography

Md Monirul Islam Rintu joined the EXIM Bank Agricultural University, Bangladesh as the Registrar on August 01, 2022. He is also the Editor of the monthly Shikshadhara. He is the running President and founding General Secretary of the Private University Public Relations Association (PUPROA), Secretary of Education and Research of Bangladesh Public Relations Officers’ Association (BPRA) Life Member of Dhaka University Alumni Association (DUAA), Life Member of Graduate List of the University of Dhaka, Life Member of Political Science Alumni Association (PSAA), Executive Member of Bangladesh Public Relations Association and Life Member of Rotary Club of Dhaka Purbasha.

Prior to joining at EXIM Bank Agricultural University, Bangladesh he served as the Director of Admission and Public Relation Affairs at the Canadian University of Bangladesh from July 01, 2021 to August 31, 2022. He also served at the European University of Bangladesh as the Director in the same post from 2012 to 2021.

Md. Monirul Islam started his career as a representative of a reputed pharmaceutical company. After that in 1990 he concentrated on his journalism career. He kept himself engaged in this profession for more than two decades. Then in 2006, he took a declaration from the government Republic of Bangladesh and started publishing a newspaper named "Shikkha Dhara", which is publishing with goodwill so far. As the editor and publisher of "ShikkhaDhara", Monirul Islam Rintu is still performing his duties successfully.

Mr. Rintu has obtained his BA Honors in Political Science and Master in Political Science from the University of Dhaka in the year 1988 and 1993 consecutively.

Mr. Monirul Islam's wife name is Jasmin Akhter Rima. They have two children. Their daughter Raisa Islam, is studying honors in Geological Science at Jahangirnagar University and his Son Saihindi Islam Mahim at studying Economics (Honors) at the University of Dhaka.
